How much does a wedding DJ cost with MJR Entertainment?
Wedding packages are $1,495 (Classic Reception, 4 hours), $1,895 (Signature Wedding, 5 hours including cocktail hour) and $2,395 (Elite Wedding Experience, 6 hours including ceremony music and sound). Every package includes DJ + MC service, dance-floor lighting and music planning.
What's included in every wedding package?
An MC who handles introductions, the first dance, parent dances, toasts, cake cutting and announcements; professional sound with wireless microphones; dance-floor lighting; and a personal music-planning process with must-play and do-not-play lists.
Do you provide ceremony music and sound?
Yes. The Elite Wedding Experience includes on-site ceremony music and sound, with a wireless mic for your officiant and vows. A ceremony at a separate location from your reception is +$200.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as you can, especially for Saturdays. Many couples book 9 to 18 months ahead. MJR is currently booking through December 2027.
Which days do you DJ?
Saturdays are limited and book first. Fridays and weeknights have the most openings. MJR does not take Sunday events.
What areas do you serve?
MJR is based in Cranston, RI and DJs weddings and events across Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, including Providence, Newport, Narragansett, Warwick, Fall River, New Bedford, the South Shore, Worcester and Greater Boston.
How do the deposit and payments work?
Weddings are reserved with a $500 non-refundable deposit, and corporate and school events with a $250 non-refundable deposit. The balance is due 14 days before the event.
Can we choose our own songs?
Absolutely. You share must-play songs, do-not-play songs and your special-moment music through a planning form, and everything is finalized at a final planning meeting the week of the wedding.
What if we want more time?
Additional wedding hours booked ahead are $300 per hour, and extending on the night is $150 per 30 minutes. For corporate and school events, additional hours are $150.
Do you offer uplighting or a photo booth?
Uplighting, a photo booth and a custom monogram are available through trusted partners, subject to availability and priced on request.
Are you insured?
Yes. MJR Entertainment carries business liability insurance and can send a certificate of insurance to your venue.
Will Mike be our DJ?
Yes. Mike is the one you plan with and the one behind the booth on your wedding day.
Do you DJ events other than weddings?
Yes: corporate events such as holiday parties and awards nights, and elementary school dances. Event packages start at $595 for 4 hours.
